This blog was created to document mail art responses to a Paint-Your-Own Masterpiece coloring book that I sent out to selected mail artists to participate over the course of 2020. The finished works from the initial project are featured in the first transformations video here.

Fluxfest Online 2021

The first video is going to be featured as part of Fluxfest Online 2021 on Sunday, March 21, 2021 on Facebook Live.  I re-edited it to include the call for the PYO Mona Lisa video project for this year.

Jonke Juraj

I'm pretty sure these lovely paintings were mailed to me for the PYO Masterpieces mail art call, so I'm posting them here.  These lovely pieces came to me all the way from Zagreb CROATIA.

Next PYO Mail Masterpieces Project

I will still be posting images of the Paint-Your-Own Masterpieces but am starting a new video project where everyone reworks the same image and it evolves.  The finished video will get posted to this blog as well as the individual pieces in it.

If you would like to participate, the image is included in this post here, just contact me through my web page to get the finished version to me.  https://www.jenniferweigelprojects.com/contact

Submissions due December 31, 2021.  Video will be released early next year 2022.

You must start or include the original image of the Mona Lisa paint-by-number in some way - the video experience is meant to be an evolving image so the consistency is needed.  Pieces that do not include the Mona Lisa paint-by-number will not be included in the video but will appear on the blog, as well as any late arrivals.

No returns.  No sales.  Physical artworks will be archived and may be included in an exhibition after 2022 yet TBD.
